Fall brings so many great activities to Hendricks County -- great opportunities to get out and enjoy all that the season has to offer.
 
And our local parks are no exception; they've got some great programming scheduled for the fall for the whole family.

Here are four "can't-miss" park events coming up in Hendricks County: 

Moonlit Owl Prowl

Owl in Flight

Nature lovers won't want to miss the Moonlit Owl Prowl from 7-9 p.m. on Oct. 24 at McCloud Nature Park, 8518 N. Hughes Road, North Salem.

This evening program allows nature lovers of all ages to learn more about owls, and maybe even see and hear some in their natural habitat! Can you identify their hoots, howls, and screeches?

Dive-In Movie

Grab your swimsuit and towel and head to Brownsburg High School, 1000 S. Odell St., on Oct. 23 for a Dive-In Movie. 
 
Brownsburg Parks will be presenting Monster House, and families can enjoy the film while lounging on a raft or splashing in the pool. Admission is $5 and the fun starts at 7 p.m. 

Howl-A-Ween

Dog at Howl-A-WeenOn Halloween, show off your dog's costume and mingle with other pet owners at Plainfield Bark Park's Howl-A-Ween.

The event, which begins at 2 p.m., Oct. 31 a the Plainfield Bark Park, 1007 Longfellow Drive, will be loads of furry fun, and your dog could even win a prize for his costume!

Be sure to bring along your dog's shot records, so everyone can have fun safely!

McCloud Park Fall Festival

Fall isn't complete without a Fall Festival! Come out to McCloud Nature Park on Oct. 17 for all kinds of autumn fun. There will be caramel apples, fresh-pressed cider and a scarecrow-decorating contest.
 
You can also navigate McCloud's Prairie Maze with your family. This free event is a good time for all ages.
