Do you have a dog at home? I recently adopted a rescue dog named Louis, and he’s the sweetest dog ever (Of course I’m biased). It’s been a short time since I adopted Louis, but he's already part of the family. I take Louis everywhere with me (dog parks, rides in the car). Dogtona pic 2 Well, I can’t wait to take him to a very popular Hendricks County event, the Dogtona Dog Show at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds & Conference Complex on Saturday, March 16 in Danville, Indiana. In its 10th year, this Hendricks County Humane Society event is fun for dogs and their owners. A day just for dogs to have fun? It sounds like a perfect day for Louis! It’s only $5 for dogs and their owners can attend free. The proceeds from the 2013 Dogtona Dog Show go toward a new (and in development) Hendricks County off-leash dog park. If you’re a dog lover like me — or maybe looking to adopt a dog in the future — this event is for you! How could I miss an opportunity for Louis to mix and mingle with new dog friends. Spring Break at Dogtona Besides hanging with other dogs, some of the fun things at Dogtona include awards for "Stinkiest Breath," "Best Dressed," "Wettest Nose" and more. There's paw painting and even a doggy talent show. If you've been thinking about meeting with an animal communicator or a pet massage therapist, you can find them at the Dogtona Dog Show, too. And, for those of you who are looking for a dog, there will be dogs available for adoption! I can't wait to take Louis to the Dogtona Dog Show. Maybe he'll win an award or meet a few new furry friends. Hope to see you there. Come meet Louis and me! All the doggy details:
