Regardless of the weather outside, one of the certainties of spring is the start of golf season. And that's certainly the case here in Hendricks County.

Area golf courses are getting ready to welcome players of all ages and skill levels to reserve a tee time and hit the links. And, whether you are looking to play nine or 18 holes, or visit the practice range to sharpen your skills, there is a great variety of courses to choose from and play.

All of the information you'll need to schedule a round is featured on each course's website and most are easy to reach and to locate - whether you're visiting from out of town or you live in the area. For a complete list of all Hendricks County golf courses, click here.

Under new management and new ownership. West Chase Golf Club is a beautiful 18-hole course designed by Ron Kern. Weather permitting, the course is open daily from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

And, now is the time to head over to West Chase. From now until the middle of April, you can play an 18-hole round of golf - any day of the week - with a cart for just $25.

An outstanding golf course, Deer Creek Golf Club offers players a variety of "risk/reward" opportunities and a great challenge that will have you using just about every club in your bag. Located just 10 minutes from Indianapolis International Airport, it's a great place to play.

If Monday is a day that you'd like to play, then you'll definitely want to visit Deer Creek. They offer a special on Monday through the entire golf season where you can play all day for just $25 with a cart!

Rated four stars by Golf Digest magazine, Twin Bridges Golf Club features an 18-hole championship course - designed by Robert Lohmann - that runs along White Lick Creek. The facility also includes a large and very well maintained bent grass driving range and practice facility.

Twin Bridges Golf Club, Danville, Indiana

One of the specials that Twin Bridges is known for rolls around every Wednesday all year long.

For just $1 per hole - whether you're playing 9 or 18 - you can take advantage of Wild Wednesday. For just $18, you can play 18 holes with a cart, or if 9 holes is all you have time to play, the green fees are just $9 and you get to ride. Sounds like the perfect after-work activity to me.

Two of my other favorites include Quail Creek Golf Course in Pittsboro and Tomahawk Hills Golf Club in Jamestown.

See you on the course!
