Local children who are looking forward to the annual ritual of trick-or-treating on Halloween will have to wait an extra night in Hendricks County. Trick-or-Treating will be October 31 from 6-9pm in Avon, Brownsburg, Danville and Plainfield As of today, Avon, Brownsburg, Danville, Plainfield and Pittsboro all announced they moved their trick-or-treating hours from Thursday to Friday because of impending storms in the forecast. North Salem was still considering a move to Friday if the forecast holds up. As a parent of a little Jack Sparrow this year, I, for one, will be glad I don’t have to fight the rain. Here are the trick-or-treating hour changes for each community that I am aware of:
  • Avon – 6-9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1.
  • Brownsburg – 6-9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1.
  • Coatesville – 6-9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1.
  • Danville – 6-9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1.
  • Plainfield – 6-9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1.
  • Pittsboro – 6-8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1.
Have a safe and happy Halloween.
