Take a step back in time at this central Indiana event that takes place each year on the Historic Downtown Danville Courthouse Square in mid-May. The family friendly event is based on The Andy Griffith Show.

Throughout the weekend kids can play at Opie's World on Jefferson Street, tribute artists perform on stage and you may even get lucky enough to bump into one in the crowd, actress Maggie Peterson who played Charlene Darling and Andy Griffith's daughter, Dixie Griffith, will be in attendance to meet fans, food and merchandise vendors line Washington Street, historic tractors takeover Tractor Town, and demonstrations tents will be held at the Hendricks County Historical Museum.

Join us as we welcome Maggie Mancuso (Charlene Darling), Dixie Griffith (Andy Griffith's Daughter), Ronnie Schell (Duke Slater from Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.) and the zany Tribute Artists. Dinner will be straight from Aunt Bee's Kitchen, catered by the Mayberry Cafe. Meet our special guests, get autographs, make new friends and start your Mayberry weekend with a smile and lots of laughs.

Ronnie Schell; actor, comedian, and General-Man-About-Town will regale us with stories from his illustrious career including, but not limited to The Any Griffith Show and Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. He will be showing some of the only existing outtakes from the shows and make time for questions from the audience. Ronnie's latest venture is starring in an upcoming pilot with Ed Asner and Dawn Wells. Ronnie Cannot wait to entertain the Mayberry in the Midwest fans with his special brand of comedy.

While our special guest, Ronnie Schell has had a fascinating career since his years on Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C., his favorite memories are of those with Jim Nabors and friends. During this Sunday afternoon show, he will share outtakes from the show and share stories as only he can. Ronnie will happily answer questions at the end of the show. This funny guy cannot wait to join us for Mayberry in the Midwest.
