DANVILLE, IN (Dec. 8, 2025) – Visit Hendricks County (VHC) has strengthened its Insider team by adding five new local contributors, moving the group to 12 creators who produce blogs and videos showcasing the people and places that define Hendricks County.
For 14 years, the Hendricks County Insider program has grown into a go-to resource for visitors and locals. Launched as a blog in 2011, it expanded to include short-form video in 2022. Today, the Insider team produces two to four blog posts and three videos per week, sharing insider tips on things to do, events and attractions in the county.
“Our Insider program thrives because it has been built on authentic local voices, and these new contributors only strengthen that foundation,” said Josh Duke, Senior Communications Manager for Visit Hendricks County. “As our blog and video content expands, the local perspectives of our Insiders help us showcase the people, places and experiences that make Hendricks County such a vibrant destination.”
New members of the Hendricks County Insider team include:
- Alexandra Brownfield – A Brownsburg resident who already boasts a strong following on Instagram and will produce short-form video content as an Insider.
- Ashley Dykton – A Brownsburg resident who has experience as both a freelance writer and video content creator. She will do both for VHC.
- Carly Schafer – A Brownsburg resident who started Keeping Up in Brownsburg on Instagram will write and create videos as an Insider.
- Holly Trump – Born and raised in Hendricks County and currently living in Clayton, she will produce written content on the Insider team.
- Courtney Wallace – A Hendricks County native, writer and disability advocate, she co-founded Access UpRising Foundation with her daughter Caylee to promote accessibility and inclusion.
The Hendricks County Insider blog currently boasts more than 7,400 subscribers, up nearly 5,000 from just three years ago, and averages about 25,000 pageviews a month. The video program, available on VHC’s Instagram page, receives more than 88,000 views a month and has grown by nearly 2,000 followers this year alone.
