DANVILLE, IN (March 24, 2014) - Visit Hendricks County has added four new bloggers to assist in experiencing and writing about county attractions, festivals and other fun activities to promote Hendricks County as a visitor destination.

Visit Hendricks County's blog, All Access Hendricks County, has provided tourism-related insider information about the county since launching Nov. 1, 2011, at www.TourHendricksCounty.com/Blog. Two years ago, Visit Hendricks County added six blogging ambassadors, known as Digital Destination Experts, to help grow the blog.

"With 300 subscribers and 10,000 online visitors every month, All Access Hendricks County has been a success in promoting Hendricks County through the storytelling provided by our insiders," said Josh Duke, communications manager for Visit Hendricks County. "We felt it was the perfect time to add some fresh voices to our team."

Thirty quality writers applied including many blogging veterans. A three-week application process eventually narrowed the field down to four new Digital Destination Experts including:

  • Angela Smail - A Plainfield resident who is a fourth generation member of the Hendricks County community, Angela will bring her first-hand knowledge and more than a decade of writing experience, including a personal blog called Lit Twit, to the team. As a young mom, she hopes to share all there is to do in Hendricks County.
  • Becky Wilson-Lusk - As a single mom living in Avon, Becky plans to focus on how to have fun and make memories in Hendricks County on a budget. She has a radio/TV background in addition to writing her own faith-based blog called Nothing Greater Than Grace.
  • David Ayers - A marketing executive and former journalist with more than 24 years of writing experience, David plans to share his love and understanding of Hendricks County to provide a true insider perspective. The Brownsburg resident even hopes to highlight some of the adventures of his family, including his wife and two boys.
  • Sarah Cass - A published author and blogging veteran, Sarah brings a unique perspective and insider knowledge as a writer, mom and Danville resident. She can't wait to promote Hendricks County as a place where locals love to live and guests can't wait to visit.

This group joins the current team of Aimee MacArthur, Amanda Miller and Eric Ivie.
