DANVILLE, IN (August 21, 2025) – Visit Hendricks County (VHC) is seeking more area residents who love to write or make short-form videos to join the Hendricks County Insider team.
Visit Hendricks County’s blog, the Hendricks County Insider, has provided tourism-related insider information about the county since the site launched in 2011. The blog currently boasts more than 6,000 subscribers, and a readership that exceeds 300,000 page views annually. The short-form video Insider team has produced hundreds of videos in three years for VHC’s Instagram and TikTok pages, with some videos reaching more than 100,000 views.
Based on that success, Visit Hendricks County is looking for additional paid contributors to expand its program.
“I have been blogging for Visit Hendricks County for more than 10 years, and it has been an adventure that I wouldn’t trade for the world,” said Eric Ivie, a Hendricks County Insider team member. “Meeting new people, learning about their extraordinary talents and business ideas, discovering new local events and attractions, exploring hidden gems and finding ways to bring those local businesses, events and attractions to light is a very rewarding experience.”

Residents of Hendricks County or adjoining counties, including westside Indy, are preferred. Previous blogging or writing experience for blogger applicants or short-form video experience for video content creator applicants is preferred but not required. Video content creators will be added as collaborators on Instagram.
