DANVILLE, IN (December 7, 2022) – A Visit Hendricks County staff member has been named as the Hendricks Regional Health YMCA's Volunteer of the Year.

VHC's Senior Manager of Partnerships Tracy Whetstone was honored Dec. 5 during a ceremony at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis during the YMCA Of Greater Indianapolis 2022 Spirit of the Service Volunteer Recognition Event.

Whetstone has long been a stalwart when it comes to community service and volunteerism within Hendricks County. She gives of her time on numerous boards and organizations. In receiving this Volunteer of the Year award, representatives from the YMCA noted that her impact can't be measured as she never misses a meeting or chance to help having served on the HRH Advisory Board for the past seven years. She also actively serves at every HRH event, ensuring its success.

Whetstone has worked at Visit Hendricks County for 14 years in a variety of roles and in many ways became the face of the organization to visitors and locals. In her role at VHC, she partners with local organizations like the YMCA to ensure we continue to develop communities where people want to visit and live, and ultimately share the mission and vision of Visit Hendricks County throughout the county.
