Seann's Shades of Blue
Get ready for an exciting weekend of live music, Chicago-style stepping and community giving as the Seann’s Shades of Blue Elite Extraordinaire returns to Plainfield, Indiana, from April 3-6.
Held at The Embassy Suites Hotel & Conference Center, this four-day event welcomes dancers and music lovers from across the country for an unforgettable celebration — all while supporting a great cause.
Easter Egg Hunts & Activities
Easter arrives on April 20, and we have all sorts of ways to celebrate in Hendricks County, Indiana!
Take photos with the Easter Bunny, take part in an adult egg hunt, watch the kids enjoy traditional egg hunts, take advantage of egg hunts for kids with special needs, hunt for eggs in the dark and more!
Indiana Guitar Show
If you love guitars and great music, you don’t want to miss the Indiana Guitar Show & Music Gear Expo happening April 12-13 at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds & Conference Complex in Danville, Indiana.
Musicians, collectors and anyone else who appreciates a killer riff can explore national dealers, vintage instruments, live demos and more gear than you can imagine. Bring your instrument, find your next favorite piece or just geek out perusing more than 140 tables of music-related treasures — it’s the biggest guitar event in Indiana!
Geoff Tate in Concert
Multi-platinum-selling Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Geoff Tate is the lead singer of the band formerly known as Queensrÿche. Tate renamed the band Operation: Mindcrime for future tours and recordings, and on April 17, Tate and the current lineup of Operation: Mindcrime will be at Hendricks Live! in Plainfield for a live performance!
They will perform Queensrÿche's 1988 album "Operation: Mindcrime" from beginning to end in its entirety. It’s a show that Geoff loves to perform and fans love to see, only proving that good music never goes out of style.

Indianapolis Gem, Mineral & Jewelry Show
Interested in gems, minerals, jewelry, fossils, beads and meteorites? Gem, Mineral and Jewelry shows are a great way for jewelers, gemologists and designers to connect with all-things rock related, and the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds and Conference Complex is welcoming the experts at the Indianapolis Gem, Mineral & Jewelry Show April 18-20.
Why are these shows so popular? They offer a unique opportunity to view, buy and trade gems and jewelry. They can also connect interested parties to wholesalers and manufacturers for better pricing and selection.
Indianapolis Cars & Coffee
Indianapolis Cars & Coffee kicks off their 2025 season at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park for the third straight year. Join them on April 19 for a special extended hours IC&C and a special chance at taking your car down the dragstrip with Fun Runs they offer.
This event is free to attend and will take place from 8-11 a.m. with Fun Runs on the dragstrip from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Gardening for All Ages
The Hendricks County Gardening for All Ages event presented by our very own Hendricks County Master Gardeners is for everyone and whether you are looking for new techniques or learning basic facts for your first garden, this event on April 26 at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds and Conference Complex has you covered.
Vendors and community groups will be on hand with garden décor, tools, bird-watching supplies and more. They’ll give away free vegetable and flower seeds and trees from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
W.S. Gibbs Earth K 5K/10K
Celebrate Earth Day with Hendricks County Parks & Recreation by running or walking the beautiful W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park trails during the inaugural Earth K Run & Walk on April 26.
Enjoy a competitive race or a fun run/walk and start the spring off on the right foot. After the professionally timed race, stick around for fun in the park for the whole family!
