The Royal Theater is a classic hometown cinema that features a cozy, single screen, buttery popcorn and bargain-friendly $5 movie tickets in the heart of downtown Danville on the historic square.

To get in the holiday spirit, the Royal Theater will have a Christmas movie weekend showing The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, the classic Christmas movie It’s a Wonderful Life and the modern favorite Elf, Dec. 12-14. Relive the nostalgia of these holiday movies in the comfort of this intimate classic movie theater.

The Nutcracker is a beloved holiday tradition for so many, and the Children’s Ballet in collaboration with Hendricks Symphony will create an enchanting experience, bringing this captivating Christmas Eve adventure to life Dec.19 and 20 at Hendricks Live!

With Hendricks Symphony performing the musical compositions, including the classic melodies of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and Waltz of the Flowers, and the choreographed dances performed by the talented dancers of the Children’s Ballet, this is one holiday performance you do not want to miss. 

The Prewitt Restaurant and Lounge

The Prewitt originally opened in 1927 as a movie theater during Hollywood’s Golden Age and has recently been converted to an upscale restaurant and lounge with a modern, old-Hollywood aesthetic, creating a unique dining experience for guests.

During the holiday season, experience Holiday Movie Nights at the Prewitt, where you can watch the modern Christmas classics of Elf, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and Home Alone. For $15, get popcorn and a specialty cocktail, and the full dinner menu will be available to order as well.

If you are looking to attend Hendricks Symphony’s Deck the Halls with Silver and Gold annual holiday concert on Dec. 12 and 14 at Hendricks Live!, unfortunately, this concert is sold out.

The good news is Hendricks Symphony will present a free community concert on Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Plainfield United Methodist Church, featuring their talented vocal and orchestral ensembles.
