Late winter in the Midwest can play tricks on the mind. I love a good excuse to get cozy and recover from a busy year, but at a certain point, I seem to forget that brighter, warmer days are just over the horizon.
Instead of settling into the monotony that February and March can bring, we here at Visit Hendricks County have a plan to shake off the fog and get you out on the town. This winter, taste what’s truly delicious about Central Indiana with the second-annual Hendricks County Flavor Fest.
How It Works
This campaign runs from February 17 to March 17, 2026. As you dine, you’ll be supporting local businesses during a traditionally slower season. And let's be honest, couldn’t we all use a good excuse to get out of the house?
Dine at any of the participating locally-owned restaurants and check in with your phone by scanning the QR code they have available at their counters or tables. Fill out the electronic form that pops up, and you will be automatically entered to win one of ten $50 gift cards that will be given away during the month-long promotion.
New Menu Items!
Each establishment will feature a Flavor Fest Special – a new menu item created just for this promotion!
Read on to see some of the mouth-watering options these restaurants will feature.
Catfish & Gumbo at Rusted Silo
This local favorite for all things BBQ is offering a new dish sure to get the taste buds buzzing.
Rusted Silo is serving a new Catfish & Gumbo -- Cajun-seasoned catfish over a bowl of andouille smoked sausage and okra gumbo. And make sure you don't leave without sampling one of Grandma's Sweets.
Tlahcos' Chile Relleno
Not to be missed is this succulent masterpiece from upscale eatery Tlahcos Mexican Cuisine in Plainfield.
This Chile Relleno is smothered in a creamy red sauce, sitting atop a bed of savory black beans. Pair with one of their signature margaritas or a homemade horchata -- simply delicious!
Best Friends' Chicken Caesar Salad Bagel
Famous for their coffee flights and as a local gathering spot, you can now enjoy the perfect lunch at Best Friends Coffee & Bagels thanks to Flavor Fest.
Their offering — the Chicken Caesar Salad Bagel — is a little light yet a little indulgent; it's just the thing to spice up your weekday routine.
Spicy Dumplings or Short Ribs at Thai District
Thai District couldn't limit their new menu items for Flavor Fest to just one. Instead, they will offer two new dishes.
Enjoy their handmade Spicy Dumplings or sample a colorful special bursting with flavor with their Khao Soi (a coconut curry chicken noodle soup) with Slow Braised Short Ribs. Can't decide which one? Get them both at this Brownsburg gem. I won't tell.
...and Finish with Something Sweet at Brie & Bartlett
This charcuterie-and-more destination is serving up something decadent and green for Flavor Fest -- their Gilded Matcha Cheesecake!
Green tea and gold leaf create a vivid presentation at this Brownsburg hidden gem, and we're confident this sweet treat will delight the senses!
