The 2016 Symphony in Ellis Park is only a few weeks away and promises an evening of both entertainment and relaxation.
The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will present Movie Music by John Williams in the Martin Amphitheater at Ellis Park in Danville on Thursday, July 14. This concert under the stars will feature popular scores from film hits such as Jurassic Park, Jaws, Indiana Jones, Star Wars and Superman.
This much anticipated summer event is a unique and wonderful opportunity to enjoy the talent and work of the ISO in the comfort of the park with the changing evening sky as the backdrop. It really is incredible.
Presale tickets are $18 for adults (16 years and older) or $20 at the door, Children tickets cost $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Children 2 years and younger get in free. A family package is being offered as well for $45 and includes two adult tickets and two children tickets.
VIP parking is available for $10 for concert goers who want to get a closer spot, but general parking is free. Presale tickets can be purchased online by clicking here, or purchased at all North Salem State Bank and State Bank of Lizton locations before 3 p.m. on July 14.

Gates open at 6 p.m., and the concert begins at 8:15 p.m. In the event of rain, the concert will move to Danville Community High School.
A note for first time Symphony in Ellis Park goers: You will need to bring your own chairs or blankets. Food vendors will be available; though outside food and drinks are also permitted.
The concert will conclude with fireworks. This is a wonderful summer event to attend with the whole family, a group of friends or as a date night.
