Pick Your Own Sunflowers

Date: July 12-28 | During the orchard's open hours daily
Where: Beasley’s Orchard, Danville

For just $8 per person (children 2-and-under are free), you can explore the eight-acre sunflower field, take stunning photos and leave with the perfect sunflower. If there are just too many perfect sunflowers, you can pick more for an additional fee.

To make the most of your visit, consider buying your tickets online for faster entry, and don't forget to check out their farm market and other activities.


Simply Sandi

Gospel Artist Sandi Patty

Date: July 13 | 8 p.m.
Where: Hendricks Live!, Plainfield

Known as "The Voice," Sandi Patty rose to fame with her performance of The Star-Spangled Banner in 1986 and has since become one of America's most beloved performers. This evening will be filled with soulful songs, humor, and entertainment from a legend who has earned five Grammy® awards, four Billboard Music Awards, and numerous other accolades, and has been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

Ticket prices range from $45 to $65.


Hendricks County 4-H Fair

Date: July 14-20
Where: Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds & Conference Complex, Danville

This year’s week-long celebration will be filled with plenty of entertainment, including special Bicentennial events celebrating Hendricks County's 200th birthday. Enjoy livestock shows, carnival rides, and unique events such as the Chopped Challenge, rodeo, demolition derby, and motocross at the Fleece Performance Grandstands.

There will also be various competitions and shows throughout the week. With plenty of food options and carnival rides available from 5 to 10 p.m. daily, the fair offers fun and excitement for the whole family.

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series TSPORT 200

Where: Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, Brownsburg

A blockbuster weekend of racing in central Indiana begins with the ARCA Menards Series Circle City 200 and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series TSPORT 200 right here in Hendricks County. Fans can watch young talents compete against seasoned racers in a series that has a rich history of memorable races and notable winners at the track like Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kyle Busch.

Tickets are available now, with reserved seating at $45 and general admission at $35. Children under 12 get in free with a paid adult, making it an ideal family outing for any motorsports fans.


12th Annual Coatesville Car Show

Date: July 20 | 7 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Where: Downtown Coatesville (4994 Milton St.)

Tons of horsepower and vintage cars will line the streets of downtown Coatesville for this family-friendly event. Organizers expect more than 300 vehicles to be on display including cars, trucks, motorcycles, tractors, and side-by-sides.

Other activities for visitors to enjoy include music, great food, games, a silent auction and more. The event is free for spectators, with vehicle registration ranging from $20 to $25.


The Sound of Music

Date: July 26-28 and Aug. 2-4 | 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays
Where: Hendricks Live!, Plainfield

This timeless musical, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, tells the uplifting story of a lively governess who brings music and joy to Captain von Trapp's seven children in Austria.

Ticket prices start at $21, making this Hendricks Civic Theater production an accessible opportunity to experience a classic narrative filled with inspiring music and a compelling storyline.
