Hendricks County might not be the first place you think of for craft beer, but that’s exactly what makes it worth discovering. With small-batch brews, the only flights that craft beer enthusiasts need are at these local breweries.

Barley Thyme Kitchen + Brew

Barley Thyme Kitchen + Brew opened in 2025 and is Hendricks County's newest brewery.

This family-owned brewpub offers small-batch beers developed by their head brewer and a scratch-made menu that changes seasonally to represent fresh flavors in an upscale, intimate dining setting. 

Beasley's Orchard Hard Cider

Beasley's Orchard's apple cider is not only award-winning, but a signature staple in Hendricks County. And if you love hard cider, then nothing tops the taste of Beasley's semi-sweet that boasts the same essence and flavor of their famous apple cider. 

Seasonally, each summer, Beasley's Orchard offers their Summer Strawberry Hard Apple Cider, made with their homegrown strawberries. It has become my favorite with the perfect crispness that is so refreshing on a hot summer day.

Brew Link Brewpub

Brew Link is located at Oak Tree Golf Course in Plainfield and is known for their unique beer collaborations (like a sour beer made with Al's Donuts' jelly donuts) and unique themes, like the Ghostbusters tie-ins with Ugly Little Spud and Just One S'more. They have 24 unique beers on a constant rotation. 

Brew Link is family-friendly and offers a Kids Eat Free promotion on Mondays with the purchase of an adult meal. During the warmer weather months, enjoy outdoor seating on either their shaded patio deck or picnic area,

Nigh Brewpub

A sister brewery to Brew Link, Nigh Brewpub offers the same ingenuity when it comes to its design style of craft brews. You will find a rotating assortment of Nigh's and Brew Link's selections on tap daily.

Nigh Brewpub is similarly family-friendly, offering kids' meal options and booth seating. They also offer outdoor seating on their patio. 

Books & Brews

Technically, Books & Brews is a craft brewery, but they only brew their craft beer at their Indianapolis location, not at their Hendricks County Brownsburg location.

The Brownsburg location does offer its signature beers and bourbon barrel-aged, bottled beer. They also feature a rotation of brews and guest taps on draft.
