Hendricks Live! Story
Hendricks Live! is a large component of the Town of Plainfield's Downtown Redevelopment Plan. This initiative was developed in 2017 by a partnership between the Town of Plainfield, the Hendricks County Community Foundation and the Hendricks County Arts Council.
The goal was to create a permanent home for arts in Hendricks County as well as help revitalize the Historic Downtown Plainfield area all while providing year-round performances as a premier destination.
600-Seat, State-of-the-Art Theatre
Hendricks Live! will feature a state-of-art facility of 600 seating proscenium performance hall with year-round performances, events and artists' exhibits.
Local, regional and national touring productions will showcase their talent on stage with a variety of genres from musicians to comedians to films and special events. The performance hall will be a great addition to central Indiana and Hendricks County's art scene.
Event Rental Space & Art Showcase
Outside the performance hall, an event space and art gallery showcase will provide a multipurpose room that can be rented and reconfigured in a variety of ways to allow for smaller gatherings to larger celebrations.
The art showcase will be a space for local artists to show their work and allow them to network and collaborate with each other. This will increase access to the arts for our Hendricks County community and visitors.
Season Schedule
Hendricks Live! will officially open its doors in March to three pre-season ticketed events at $10 each and open houses where the public can tour the completed space.
The open houses are free but you still need to reserve your space on their website.
Hendricks Live! has slowly released announcements for their first few shows so follow them on Facebook and Instagram to see what they'll announce next. They also have an opening gala planned for May 2 with a silent auction and a variety of performances.

I am excited about Hendricks Live! and what it will add to the local art scene. Hendricks County already has a symphony, civic theatre, ballet and great visual arts. Hendricks Live! will be a space for these local artists and performers and national acts to connect with their audiences.
