With Halloween now over and the holidays beckoning, the Hendricks County Convention and Visitors Bureau staff compiled a list of the Top 10 Hendricks County holiday events that shouldn’t be missed. Holiday Craft Show – Finish off that holiday shopping list at a show that has become a holiday staple after 21 years. More than 100 vendors will be on hand at this massive Hendricks County holiday event that includes door prize giveaways throughout the day. Admission is $1. Children 12 and younger are free. Details:  8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 12 in the Hendricks Power Exposition Hall at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds and Conference Complex, 1900 Main St., Danville. Website Hendricks County holiday events - Christmas on the Square Christmas on the Square – Return to a simpler time and experience all the splendor the holidays represent with this family favorite. Sparkling lights, games, carols, ice skating, festive performances, Christmas story readings, visit from Santa and more. Details: 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 25 at the Hendricks County Courthouse Square in Danville. Website Winterland Light Show – Bigger and better every year, this drive-through light show has become a holiday tradition in Hendricks County. Thousands of cars meander through Ellis Park taking in creative displays with more than a million glowing lights. Children also can visit Santa each weekend. Admission is $7 a vehicle or $5 with an online coupon. Details: 6-9 p.m. Sundays-Thursdays and 6-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays Nov. 25-Dec. 24 at Ellis Park, 600 E. Main St., Danville. Website Spirit of the Season – Let popular Indianapolis singer/songwriter Jennie DeVoe help get you in the mood for the season as she returns to Chateau Thomas Winery with her soulful R&B sound to perform some holiday classics. Website Jingle Bell Junction’s Breakfast with Santa – The morning begins with breakfast and pictures with Santa, but the fun doesn’t stop there at this Hendricks County holiday event. Families can enjoy games, crafts and maybe a little shopping for mom and dad. Every child also leaves with a gift. Tickets are $5 a person. Purchase tickets in advance by calling (317) 432-1175. Website Gingerbread Christmas – The 41st annual event has become one of oldest and largest Hendricks County holiday events. More than 100 booths will showcase handcrafted items and artwork from specially chosen master artisans and crafters. Admission is $3. Details:  9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 3 at Plainfield High School, 1 Red Pride Drive, Plainfield. Website Christmas Under the Stars – In Hendricks County, anytime is a good time for a parade. Join hundreds who line the streets of Brownsburg for a one-of-a-kind holiday parade where Santa is the star and floats, cars and even animals glow with holiday lights. Then, head to Town Hall after the parade for a holiday light show and get pictures with Santa. Details: 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 3 at Brownsburg Town Hall, 61 N. Green St., Brownsburg. Website Shop, Dine and Give at Metropolis – Attend a special VIP after-hours event that includes exclusive promotions, food sampling, entertainment and much more. Proceeds benefit charity. Tickets cost $5. Details: 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 4 at Metropolis Shopping Center, 2499 Futura Park Way, Plainfield. Website Rural Routes to Main Street Cultural Trail Holiday Open House – Participate in this hands-on holiday version of Hendricks County’s popular driving tour. The three-day event includes demonstrations and workshops at many sites including Chateau Thomas Winery, Frazee Gardens and Gallery on the Square. Details: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 8-10 at various locations. Website Sounds of the Season – As you prepare for that final holiday push, let the Hendricks Symphonic Society help get you in the mood with their selection of classics featuring music by Handel, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Anderson, and others.  Adult tickets are $10, students are $5.
