Our new ABA basketball team just won its third consecutive game and is a legitimate contender for a playoff berth in their inaugural season! Fast-paced, high-scoring basketball in a very family-friendly environment. The regular season ends in mid-March, but the last home game is in February.
Feb. 10, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds, Danville
Come enjoy picking out a unique gift for loved ones and yourself at this first annual craft and animal rescue vending event. About 50 vendors will be on hand with hand-crafted items and information on pets up for adoption. You can even pet a skunk!
March 2 and 9, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., McCloud Nature Park, North Salem
Learn how maple syrup has been made in the past and how it's made today during this interactive event. Tap a section of a maple tree, and then come inside the warm McCloud Nature Center and enjoy 100% all-natural McCloud Maple Syrup during the Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser.
March 13-16, Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds, Danville
Here We Grow Again is hosting their spring sale. Free admission always. Cash and credit accepted. Shop more than 85,000 kid-related items at fractions of the cost.
April 13, Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds, Danville
Hendricks County Master Gardeners' annual spring garden show. Garden-related vendors, exhibits, help desk and speakers. Free trees and seeds. Children's activities and much more.
April 20, McCloud Nature Park, North Salem
Not your average backyard Easter Egg hunt. Find camouflaged eggs along two trails at McCloud Nature Park, use the clues inside each egg to answer questions on your scavenger hunt list, and then turn the completed form in for a prize.

May 3, Historic Hendricks County Courthouse Square, Danville
Stroll the streets around the Courthouse Square in Danville every first Friday from May through September. Cool cars from antique to classic, vintage and muscle are on display for this free cruise-ins.
May 17-19, Downtown Danville
Celebrate everything relating to The Andy Griffith Show at this three-day festival that includes a Mayberry-themed parade, a free stage show of zany antics by those Andy Griffith Show Tribute Artists, contests, free music acts, free Opie's World Kids Zone, arts and crafts vendors and so much more.
May 18, Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds, Danville
This full fairy immersion experience includes entertainment, live unicorns and other magical animal friends, unique vendors that fit the theme, fairies in costume and more. The event even includes a 21 and over ball for the adult crowd.
May 24, Lucas Oil Raceway, Brownsburg
USAC sprint cars battle it out on the paved oval track at Lucas Oil Raceway on the Friday before the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500.
Amo Fish Fry Festival
Early June, Downtown Amo
An annual Thursday-through-Saturday festival that supports the Amo Volunteer Fire Department and the Cascade Youth League. At this popular event, enjoy tasty food, live music, kiddie rides and games, bingo, vendor tents and other special events. The exact date is still to be announced.
June 29, Kingsway Christian Church, Avon
A local tradition since 2005, this event features a Rib Run, a hot air balloon glow, live entertainment, games for kids, lots of food and fireworks. Local restaurants also compete for "best ribs" and "best sauce" bragging rights as judged by the local tasters.
July 14-20, Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds, Danville
Exhibits, animals, live entertainment, carnival rides, fair food, demonstrations and much more.
July 20, Downtown Coatesville
Presented by the Downtown Coatesville Revitalization Project, this annual event boasts classic cars on display, live music, shopping, a silent auction, plenty of food, a bounce house and games like Car Show Bingo and a Poker Walk.
Aug. 24, McCloud Nature Park, North Salem
The fourth annual McCloud Honeybee Fest celebrates the importance of our pollinators. Check out the honeybees in the Bee House observation hives, master beekeepers teach the basics of backyard beekeeping, enjoy games and activities and buzz around the vendor booths to browse some great honey products.
Aug. 28-Sept. 2, Lucas Oil Raceway, Brownsburg
The crown jewel of the NHRA season, U.S. Nationals have become a fan favorite in a family friendly environment.
Aug. 31-Sept. 2, Downtown North Salem
Hendricks County's largest parade, horse pulls, truck pulls, a car show, bed races, a run/walk, a bike ride, eating contests, live entertainment and more every year over Labor Day weekend!
Sept. 1-Oct. 31, McCloud Nature Park, North Salem
Take the family through this family-friendly nature-themed maze that is mowed into McCloud Nature Park's prairie. Free to enjoy daily from dawn to dusk.
Oct. 5-6 and 12-13, Beasley's Orchard, Danville
Attractions include live music entertainment, the Barnyard Bonanza family fun area, hayrides to the pumpkin patch, a fun and challenging corn maze, apple cannons, wine tastings featuring Indiana wineries, a wide array of delicious food and high-quality arts and crafts vendors.
Mid to late October, McCloud Nature Park, North Salem
Archery, hay rides, apple cider press, atlatl throwing, tree-climbing and other fun outdoor activities in one of the best places in the state of Indiana to view fall foliage. Click here as the time approaches to learn the exact date of this year's festival.
Christmas on the Square
Nov. 29, Historic Hendricks County Courthouse Square, Danville
Kick off the holiday season with games and activities, shopping, Christmas characters roaming the Square, and the lighting of the Town of Danville's Christmas tree and canopy of lights.
Nov. 29-Dec. 30, Ellis Park, Danville
An awesome drive-through display of Christmas lights and music. Santa Claus comes to the Ellis Park Train Station on the weekends.
Dec. 7, Plainfield High School, Plainfield
Sponsored by Plainfield Tri Kappa, Gingerbread Christmas is the oldest and largest fine arts and craft show in the area with more than 120 booths. Master artists and crafters from many states will showcase a wide variety of creatively crafted and original works of art.
Christmas Under the Stars Parade
Dec. 7, Brownsburg Town Hall
The Town of Brownsburg ushers in Christmas with a big, nighttime parade, the town Christmas tree lighting and fun activities at Brownsburg Town Hall.
