The final days leading up to Halloween tend to always be busy and this last weekend before Halloween is certainly no exception in Hendricks County, Indiana. As always you can check out our Events Calendar for even more options, but here are some of the highlights:
Bring the whole family for some fun at the Hendricks Regional Health YMCA from 6-8 p.m. Friday in Avon. The annual Halloween Extravaganza will include campfire songs and stories, a haunted hayride, games, crafts and more.
Tickets are $5-$8. Register in person or online.
The last two days of Danville's Haunted Hargrave Hall are this weekend from 7-11 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.
Discounted online tickets ($5 or $10 for a fast pass) must be purchased at least one day in advance. Tickets are $7 at the door, or $12 for a fast pass.
If you haven't checked out this year's prairie maze at McCloud Nature Park in North Salem, what are you waiting for?
There are just a few more days left to enjoy the free McCloud Prairie Maze. The 1/2-mile, grasshopper-shaped maze is open 7 a.m.-9 p.m. daily through Oct. 31.
The thought of combining Halloween with their favorite sci-fi show has to be a dream for any Doctor Who fanatic. Well, that opportunity becomes reality this Saturday.
The Doctor Who-themed festival will take place from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday at Who North America, 8901 S. State Road 67 in Camby.
The festival includes a Cosplay competition, pumpkin-carving competition, balloon sculpturist, book signings and more.

The Plainfield Parks Department will host a Halloween-themed fall festival from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at the new Talon Stream Park.
The event will include a costume contest, dog costume contest and much more. Be sure to wear your costume, and remember all dogs must be on a leash.
Finally, this is your last opportunity to check out the amazing Scarecrow Display in downtown Danville. The scarecrows will only be on display through this Sunday. Explore the Courthouse Square at your leisure for free.
