Airport Health Accreditation
The Indianapolis International Airport (IND) received an Airport Health Accreditation for its response to the COVID-19 global pandemic. IND was one of only eight airports in the U.S. to receive this industry-leading designation as a healthy airport.
IND Response to Pandemic
Since the pandemic began, airport officials have implemented 13 different measures to ensure the health and safety of travelers passing through their facilities. Measures have included the usual face covering requirements and maintaining social distancing, but also go well beyond that.
2020 TSA Checkpoint Travel Numbers
While hundreds of thousands of travelers pass through the airport every day, the 2020 numbers remain well below 2019 when more than a million passengers flowed through daily. Learn More
