Things will be different; Santa and Mrs. Claus and their character friends will be unable to join us and the train and bounce house will not be with us this year. However, the Methodist Church Live Nativity will be located at the intersection of Marion and Washington Streets.
Our Downtown Danville merchants and restaurants will be open with beautifully decorated windows.
Santa will remotely help us light the tree and the canopy at 6:00 PM and we are working on this being live-streamed so that families can watch from home.
The Downtown Danville Partnership is excited to offer another creative project to encourage people to visit our square during the holiday season and we need your help.
Families, businesses, civic groups...
We will be offering 4’ x 3’ pieces of plywood for $10 and are asking that you decorate them as a postcard with the theme Home for the Holidays. The oversized postcards will be primed with the “postmark” already included. Postcards must be ordered and paid for by Friday, November 6, 2020 and available for pick up on Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Danville Parks Department garage.
The postcards must be returned by Friday, November 20, 2020 so that they may be installed on the Courthouse Lawn before Christmas on the Square.
The postcards will be judged and there will be cash prizes!
