Overview
Laughter increases the levels of endorphins – the body’s natural painkillers – and decreases the body’s production of cortisol, a hormone released in times of stress that contributes to weight gain and memory loss. Laughter Yoga, designed by Dr. Madan Kataria in 1995, incorporates playful group exercises with deep breathing to enhance wellness and joy. It eases anxiety and depression, awakens happiness and forges relationships. Laughter Yoga class can help students release stress and tension, calm their minds, improve their health and provide an abundance of positive energy.
The one-hour class, which involves minimal stretching and much laughter, will take place on the farm, followed by a visit with the alpacas. People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate.
Please note: there are dogs, cats and other animals on the property.
