  • Overview

An annual McCloud favorite, our Maple Syrup Days allow visitors a hands-on experience while discovering the rich, delicious history of maple sugaring. Learn how to tap a tree, watch a demonstration of the process as it used to be done in the pioneer days, and take a visit to our Sugar Shack to see how syrup is made today!

Things to do during these days:

      • Tap a tree yourself.
      • Explore the "Sugar Bush" area.
      • Find ways to identify trees in winter.
      • Learn how Native Americans first made maple syrup and how colonial Americans advanced the process.
      • Visit the "Sugar Shack", where the modern-day evaporator will be condensing hundreds of gallons of sugary sap into sweet, rich maple syrup.

You can also sample 100% all-natural McCloud Maple Syrup (tapped from the maple trees right here in our park), and purchase a bottle to take home.
