Do you love marine life, but can’t make it to the ocean this summer? Have no fear, Nile is here! This incredible 43-foot, life-sized inflatable humpback whale is swimming into Washington Township Parks for a fun and interactive educational experience. Step inside the whale, discover the amazing similarities between whales and humans, and get hands-on with real whale artifacts while learning about ocean science and marine conservation.This special event is part of the Wild World of Nature Series all thanks to a grant from The Parks Foundation of Hendricks County. This a new educational program by Washington Township Parks designed to connect Hendricks County residents with nature through hands-on environmental and STEM experiences. Throughout the year, the series will feature exciting programs focused on wildlife, science, conservation, astronomy, reptiles, birds of prey, geology, and more all created to inspire curiosity, learning, and appreciation for the natural world in a fun and family-friendly way.The Whale Mobile kicks off this exciting monthly series, bringing immersive educational experiences directly to our community for all ages to enjoy for FREE! There will be 4 different time slots for 4 - 4:30, 4:30 - 5, 5 - 5:30, 5:30 - 6.
