  • Overview

Interactive and ever-changing, the Putnam County Museum celebrates the area’s historical, natural and cultural heritage. In addition to the museum’s many exhibits and docent-guided tours, visitors will enjoy a variety of special speakers throughout the year, from astronauts to zebra farmers! Kids have plenty to do here, too, starting with the barn that’s inside where young visitors can play with vintage toys, try the dress up clothes and excavate artifacts in the sand table. The gift shop offers a fascinating selection of regionally themed books, jewelry, toys, artwork and food items. Groups are welcome, and tour bus parking, celebration and meeting spaces are available.
