While the eastern half of the county boasts more people and attractions, anyone wanting to truly get away and see rural Indiana can find that in the western half of Hendricks County. Small towns and farm fields dominate this portion of the county that includes the towns of Amo, Coatesville, Lizton, Pittsboro and North Salem.
But you can also find fun activities and great places to eat as well. Our favorite eatery in this portion of the county can be found in North Salem. Perillo’s Pizzeria is a true hidden gem in a former doctor’s office. Make sure to bring cash as you enjoy dishes straight out of Sicily. Western Hendricks County visitors also enjoy McCloud Nature Park, the Vandalia Trail, Norelu and the Lizton Dairy Bar.
