Top Tips to Know Before You Go To Kid's Planet in Brownsburg Indiana

Editor's Note: Kid's Planet is temporarily closed as the space is renovated following a devastating storm.
My family has lived in Hendricks County a little over three years now, and when looking for things to do with our kids in the area, Kid's Planet is often a recommendation.
I recently took our two youngest, and now I know why everyone recommends it! It's filled with fun!
They recently did a renovation and expanded their toddler play area so I was excited to bring our toddlers to explore the renovated space!
The Renovation
Even though they had only been open about six years, they decided it was time to freshen the space up. They were closed for a few weeks this spring while they completed renovations and had a grand reopening in June.
They posted updates on their Facebook page. It amazed me to see how the structure and design was built.
One of the main areas they renovated was the toddler play area. They added several trampolines, basketball lanes and even added trampolines for the little kids!
The far corner that used to be the Lego room was transformed into a new toddler area with tons of activity centers and smaller-sized tunnels and even a slide that ends in a toddler-sized ball pit!
Our 2- and 4-year-olds loved the toddler areas and all of the trampoline options as they were able to get all their wiggles out!
Indoor Playground
Kid's Planet boasts a multi-story indoor playground where kids up to age 14 can explore.
You'll have to sign a waiver when you first come but the waiver is good for one year. You'll also need to bring or purchase non-stick socks. Our kids loved these. It was like a souvenir.
There is a ball-pit area with ball cannons, trampolines, tunnels, slides and more.
With the renovations, they recently have allowed kids above 14 to play on the main level but have still reserved the upper area for the younger kids.
It's a huge space, but I could still see where our kids were. They also do a good job of having staff around the area to help out.
Arcade Games
Before I checked out Kid's Planet, I didn't even realize they had a whole section of fun arcade games!
They have tons of games including a giant Pac-Man game and a carousel ride. We stuck with the playground area this time, but the variety of games is great for all ages.
Arcade pricing is separate from the playground pricing, and you can purchase an set number of tickets or unlimited play for a set number of minutes.
Concessions and Bathrooms
While outside food and drinks are not allowed (except water), Kid’s Planet has a clean and spacious concession area upstairs that is perfect for refueling.
There are plenty of "kid-friendly" options available for purchase.
During weekdays, concessions are currently limited to snacks and drinks, but on the weekends they also serve hot-food options, including everyone’s favorite, pizza.
They also have public restrooms right outside the door of the playground area near the arcades.
Party Time
Kid’s Planet is also the perfect spot for a birthday party or other private event.
Let the staff at Kid’s Planet handle the setup and cleanup for a stress-free party.
You can even choose the party’s theme, and they will take care of the decorations.
With 28 themes to choose from, whether your child is into Trolls, Transformers, or Toy Story…Minions, Mickey Mouse, or Moana, Kid’s Planet has you covered!
