I love coffee in all forms, but iced coffee? That’s a year-round commitment at this point. Snowstorm, heat wave, doesn’t matter; I’m showing up with an iced cup in hand.
Thankfully, Hendricks County, Indiana, has no shortage of locally owned coffee shops serving creative drinks, cozy vibes and flavors beyond the typical chain menu.
These five spots are definitely worth the stop:
Fields Coffee
Fields Coffee in Danville, has become one of my favorite coffee spots in Hendricks County thanks to its welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and creative drinks.
The Mocha Mallow iced coffee completely sold me with its mix of rich chocolate, toasted marshmallow and smooth espresso. It’s the kind of local coffee shop that keeps people coming back.
Cabin Coffee
Cabin Coffee Company has a warm, welcoming atmosphere with two locations in Avon and Plainfield, both of which offer the cozy coffee-shop feel that keeps people coming back.
The iced mocha I ordered with a hint of coconut was smooth, balanced and not overly sweet. Bonus points for the receipt that read: extra love, which honestly summed up the experience perfectly.
MOTW Coffee
MOTW Coffee brings a modern, upbeat coffee shop atmosphere to Avon with creative drinks and a welcoming vibe.
The Graham Slam iced coffee stands out with its subtle graham cracker flavor that adds something unique without overpowering the espresso. It’s a great pick if you like coffee flavors that go beyond the usual lineup.
Best Friends Coffee
Best Friends Coffee & Bagels in Brownsburg is the kind of local coffee shop that feels welcoming the moment you walk in. Known for its friendly atmosphere and loyal regulars, it’s an easy place to settle in with a coffee and stay awhile.
Their iced caramel latte is smooth, balanced, and just sweet enough without overdoing it.
The Energy Spot
The Energy Spot in Plainfield brings a fun, high-energy atmosphere with drinks that blend coffee and nutrition. Known for their protein coffees and loaded specialty teas, it’s a great stop if you want something that feels like a treat while still giving you a little fuel for the day.
This drink tastes like a frozen Snickers bar in coffee form with chocolate, creamy sweetness and just enough crunch on top.
