5 Hendricks County Fall Treats You Must Try
Published on
Fall in Indiana is beautiful, but fall in Hendricks County, Indiana, is beautiful and delicious!
Many local eateries create special, fall-inspired dishes only available for a limited time. Make sure you check them out during their limited time on the menus.
This isn't intended to be a comprehensive list, but here are a few I recommend you try this season:
1. Fall-Flavored Flights
You can grab fall-inspired flights of cookies at Creation Cafe - Coffee and Bakery in Danville or a cold brew flight at Best Friends Coffee & Bagels in Brownsburg.
Both are great ways to taste multiple fall flavors at once! Oh, and both spots have breakfast items too!
2. Fall-Flavored Ice Cream
Cool down on those random warm days that pop up in Indiana's fall weather with fall-flavored ice cream!
Mandy's Ice Cream offers a variety of flavors, but they bring out their fall flavors in September and October. You can also try pumpkin-flavored ice cream at Danville Dips or try pumpkin spice tres leches at Danny's Mexican Ice Cream.
3. Grab Fall Treats On The Go
You don't even need to get out of your car to grab these sweet treats. Drive-through for the win!
Grab fall-flavored drinks at Fields Coffee in Danville, inside or through their drive-through, or grab a Pumpkin Palomino at Cabin Coffee Company in Avon or Plainfield.
4. Local Bakery Favorites
Bread Basket Cafe & Bakery in Danville is a local favorite and offers a variety of fall-flavored breads and desserts. You can order online or grab some while dining in.
The Singing Crust in Clayton creates delicious s'mores and pumpkin bars. You can get individual bars and slices of pie, or pick up a larger portion to share. You can also grab regular and gluten-free pumpkin bread at The Hayloft in Brownsburg, as well as whipped maple butter cupcakes and cookies!
5. Apple Cider
Many local places team up with Beasley's Orchard to create some apple and cider-flavored treats, so be on the lookout for those collaborations.
Or you can just go to the orchard and purchase apple and cider treats while enjoying their fall festivals.
