Carb Night Classic, Hoosier Hundred Kick Off Major Racing Weekend in Central Indiana
Published on
Memorial Day Weekend in Central Indiana is all about speed, tradition and racing culture.
That all starts right here in Hendricks County, Indiana, with the annual Carb Night Classic featuring the 73rd Anniversary Hoosier Hundred at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, which, unfortunately, has been moved to Thursday, June 25, 2026, due to inclement weather.
Editor's Note: Some of these events have been postponed from their usual Memorial Day Weekend dates due to inclement weather. The information below includes the updated dates.
USF2000 & PRO 2000 Championships
The only event happening in May after the schedule change is the USF2000 and USF Pro 2000 Championships, which bring the next generation of open-wheel talent to the track as part of the Road to Indy development program. These races feature emerging drivers working their way toward IndyCar, including past participants such as Pato O’Ward, Conor Daly and Kyle Kirkwood.
Tickets for Thursday’s races will be available at the track for $10 if you haven't previously purchased Carb Night Classic tickets. Parking lots will open at noon, with spectator gates opening at 3:30 p.m. Qualifying for both events begins at 3:30 p.m. on May 21 before the USF2000 feature at 6:30 p.m. and the USF Pro 2000 race at 7:30 p.m.
Hoosier Hundred
The 73rd running of the legendary Hoosier Hundred headlines the night on June 25 with a 100-lap USAC Silver Crown Series main event that kicks off around 8:05 p.m. Its history, prestige and intensity make it one of the most storied traditions in American motorsports.
There will be a practice session at 3 p.m. and a qualifying session at 5:10 p.m. Some of the sport’s most iconic names have won this historic race, including A.J. Foyt, Mario Andretti, Al Unser Sr. and Kyle Larson.
All-Star Pavement Midgets
Capping off the evening will be the 30-lap All-Star Pavement Midgets feature, drawing top midget racers from across the country.
Known for their quick acceleration and tight competition, this race offers a $5,000 winner’s purse, making it a standout event on the midget racing calendar.
Tickets, Parking & Camping
General admission tickets and pit passes to the Carb Night Classic and Hoosier Hundred are $27.50, and reserved seating tickets are $37.50. As with all IRP events, children 12 and under receive free admission with a paid adult.
For free parking, fans will enter at the main gate on U.S. Highway 136/Crawfordsville Road. Preferred parking is available in Lot 2 for $10. Primitive camping is available to all fans on the night of the event for $25/spot and must be reserved in advance, but does not include admission to the races.
