Oval Track Racing
Long overshadowed by the famed drag strip on the same Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park (formerly Lucas Oil Raceway) property in Brownsburg, Indiana, LOR's oval race track provides its share of open-wheel racing excitement throughout the spring, summer and fall including USAC as well as other IndyCar feeder series and stock car events.
And while the history may not be quite as long as the drag strip, this short-track oval has hosted its share of legendary racers including A.J. Foyt, Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch and many others.
Bigger events, larger purses and a better overall fan experience including cheaper and more consistent ticket prices, free parking, free camping, children often getting in free and much more have become a priority at the track that is just down the road from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
