Summer Tradition: Danville's First Friday Cruise In
Published on
Whether you're a car novice or car expert, you'll find something great at the Frist Friday Cruise In on the historic Hendricks County Courthouse Square in Danville, Indiana.
The Cars
There are so many great cars that show up on the square during the First Friday Cruise Ins. Most of the vehicles have the engine hoods propped up and the windows down so those who pass by can check out the cars inside and out.
This is the time to show off! Owners are proud of their work and are happy to answer questions and talk about the work they've done.
The Community
While walking around looking at the cars, you can quickly see people come for more than just the cars. They come for the community.
The Indy Hi-Winders have created a great, welcoming atmosphere. Each month, they give an award to one of the owners. It's a fun way to acknowledge the hard work that goes into restoring a car and helps create that feel-good community.
The Food
Beyond the cars and community, there are great concession options or grab dinner or drinks at the great restaurants around the square.
Danville Dips is always a favorite for ice cream but you can grab dinner at Two Guys Pies or Mayberry Cafe nearby too.
