Summer is the perfect time to check out all our great parks in Hendricks County, Indiana. And you can do just that by participating in the Summer Fun Run 2026.
The Parks Foundation of Hendricks County's Annual Summer Fun Run and Walk Series gives residents and visitors a chance to explore and support the parks and trails in Hendricks County.
What's The Summer Fun Run Series?
Each week during the summer months, one park in Hendricks County hosts a course where people can run, walk, bicycle, or even roller skate the marked path. This year's event kicks off May 27 at Hummel Park.
The series will take you on an outdoor adventure through a dozen parks throughout the county, providing a variety of scenery and terrain, and plenty of opportunities to explore at your own pace. You can join others and run on Wednesdays from 4:30-6:30 p.m. or run on your own schedule throughout the week. I love the flexibility.
What's The Cost & How Are Funds Used?
The Summer Fun Run 2026 registration fee is $35 for an individual and $100 for a family of four. You can add additional family members when you register.
You'll receive 12 parks to explore, a T-shirt, a flexible, go-at-your-own-pace experience and a kickoff party at Hummel Park, sponsored by Banning Engineering. The Parks Foundation of Hendricks County uses funds to award grants to our parks in Hendricks County, helping to improve our outdoor spaces.
