7 Small Wedding, Event Venues in Hendricks County, Indiana
Published on
Hendricks County is your premier wedding and event location in central Indiana.
No matter the size of the event or its function, Hendricks County, Indiana, has many different venues to accommodate any budget and number of guests. Here are my top choices for event and wedding locations:
1. The Blanton House
The Blanton House is a Georgian Colonial-style mansion nestled on 73 acres of exquisitely manicured grounds, located near the historic downtown Danville square. Surrounded by Blanton Woods Nature Park, whose mature trees and gardens add a perfect backdrop, its outdoor courtyard can accommodate a 2,250-square-foot tent for up to 250 guests.
The classic charm of the mansion, with its red brick, features timeless elements, including a grand staircase, antique furnishings, a library, a dining room and a sunroom. These period details and natural beauty make The Blanton House a perfect venue with timeless appeal.
2. Avon Gardens
Avon Gardens is one of the most magical places to visit in Hendricks County. With serene ponds, winding garden paths filled with colorful plants and flowers and a trickling waterfall, there is so much to see and be mesmerized by at this outdoor venue.
You can choose various backdrops on the property for your ceremony, and then move underneath one of their beautiful canopies for the reception. They have so much to offer, such as catering flexibility and decorations, and the views are breathtaking.
3. CRG Event Center
Cunningham Restaurant Group occupies a luxury event venue inside The Shops at Perry Crossing in Plainfield.
The CRG Event Center is a 7,500-square-foot event space on the second floor overlooking the outdoor lifestyle mall's town square. The venue can accommodate up to 300 guests, making it perfect for any social, wedding or corporate gathering.
4. Hendricks Live!
Hendricks Live! is best known as a 600-seat, state-of-the-art theater in the heart of downtown Plainfield.
But Hendricks Live! also boasts event spaces that can accommodate 130 to 160 guests, along with an outdoor terrace that allows for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners and other social or corporate gatherings.
5. Event Barns
Filled with rustic charm and surrounded by acres of land, our barn event venues radiate a natural elegance. Some focus solely on weddings, while others can host any event.

- Ash and Oak - Primarily a wedding barn, it features a silo, bridge over a bubbling creek and can comfortably host up to 225 attendees
- The Barn of Coatesville - This one-time family barn became an idealistic event venue in 2014
- Martha's Orchard Wedding Barn - This former apple orchard offers beautiful outdoor settings for ceremonies and a climate-controlled barn for receptions
6. Lizton Lodge
Lizton Lodge can host virtually any gathering and welcome up to 200 guests inside its extensive 22,000-square-foot, 25-room, 100-acre estate.
During events, guests have access to the former private residence and its many amenities. Outside this sprawling estate, guests can utilize the popular Canopy Lights Courtyard, Chapel Pond and so much more.
