The county seat located in the center of Hendricks County along U.S. 36 features a vibrant downtown square with numerous shops and restaurants. Anchored by the iconic Mayberry Cafe, the courthouse square boasts great shopping at locations such as Seize the Night Designs and Gallery on the Square.
Just off the square you can find visitor favorites including the Bread Basket Cafe & Bakery and Hendricks County Historical Museum (open to the public on Saturdays). And right outside of town, you'll find a fall family favorite, Beasley’s Orchard.
Events also have become a big draw including the Mayberry in the Midwest festival, Heartland Apple Festival and Christmas on the Square. The only bed and breakfast in the county, Marmalade Sky, can also be found there.
