September 11 - 13

  • Hendricks County Boutique Crawl - This three-day event provides a great way to explore the Hendricks County boutique scene with specials and discounts, perfect for a girlfriend getaway.
  • Danville Tri Kappa Presents Fair On the Square - This massive two-day event in Danville includes more than 100 vendor booths selling home decor items, handmade creations and even produce.
  • Blues and BBQ - Just as the name would suggest, this one-day event in Brownsburg combines the sweet sounds of blues music with the sweet tastes of barbecue from multiple vendors.
  • Puppy Pool Party at Splash Island - The annual puppy pool party at Splash Island in Plainfield is perfect for those with dogs that love the water.

  • Summer Sounds on the Square- Levi Riggs - Whenever a hometown favorite returns to town, it tends to be a show you don't want to miss, which is the case for this final Summer Sounds performance of the season by Danville's own Levi Riggs.
  • CRA Fall Brawl - A fun oval event at Lucas Oil Raceway that moved to September.
  • Quaker Day Festival - Come help the Plainfield community celebrate its heritage during this long-time event that features a parade, food and craft vendors, a car show and more.

An Apple a Day
  • Beasley's Orchard - October remains without a doubt the busiest month for Beasley's Orchard, so if you want to avoid the crowds visit this weekend before the rush begins. You can still enjoy all the wonderful aspects of this fall family attraction including u-pick apples, their Barnyard Bonanza Family Activity Area and more.

  • Beasley's Hometown Heroes - Support active military, police, firefighters and paramedics during this fun weekend at Beasley's Orchard in Danville.
  • The Indiana Guitar Show - Moved from its usual spring time slot, this two-day event allows musicians to buy, sell and trade instruments with dealers and enthusiasts from across the region.
  • Alpaca Farm Open House - Explore this family-owned farm in Brownsburg and learn more about the gentle alpaca that call it home.

  • Heartland Apple Festival - The biggest event of the season kicks off at Beasley's Orchard in Danville with tons of family fun including live entertainment, hayrides to the pumpkin patch, apple cannons, food and craft vendors and tons of children's activities.
  • First Friday Cruise-In - Car enthusiasts park their classic cars and hot rods around the historic Hendricks County Courthouse Square for this monthly free car show.
  • Rusty Wallace Driving Experience - Drive a stock car or participate in a ride-a-long at Lucas Oil Raceway in Brownsburg.

Farm Fresh Weekend
  • Hogan Farms - Located in Brownsburg, this family-owned farm is open for the season featuring hayrides, a pumpkin patch, petting zone and corn maze.
  • Beasley's Orchard - This family-owned apple orchard ramps up its fall activities featuring a corn maze, children's activities and hayrides to the pumpkin patch.

October 9 - 11

Top Events

  • Heartland Apple Festival - If you missed it last weekend, this is the final weekend of this event at Beasley's Orchard in Danville. Hayrides to the pumpkin patch, a corn maze, apple cannons, live entertainment, children's activities, food and event vendors and so much more.
  • Here We Grow Again Kids Consignment Sale - One of the biggest consignment sales in Central Indiana with thousands of items happens every fall at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds in Danville.

Downtown Danville Square
  • Mayberry Cafe - No visit to Danville would be complete without a visit to this Andy Griffith Show-inspired, destination restaurant.
  • Scarecrow Display - The scarecrows finally arrive on the square for their annual visit. The creativity and fun you will find makes a trip around the courthouse well worth the effort.
  • Bread Basket Cafe & Bakery - This family-owned eatery inside a Danville bungalow includes all the comforts of home. Open for breakfast and lunch, but closed on Sundays, you'll find that the food is irresistible but you must save room for dessert.

October 16 - 18

  • Beasley's Dog Daze at the Maze -  Enjoy a weekend at Hendricks County's most popular fall attraction, Beasley's Orchard, with your dogs. Costume contests, pet adoption and more in addition to this Danville attraction's usual activities.
  • Fall Colors Festival - A celebration of fall in one of Hendricks County's most beautiful places to see fall foliage, McCloud Nature Park in North Salem, Includes numerous family activities.
  • Fall Harvest Days at Nehemiah Ranch - Free family event in Avon held three weekends out of the year, including this one. Hayrides, pumpkin patch, live music, food and more.

Fall Break Getaway
  • uPaint Pottery Studio - As you get ready for Halloween, uPaint in Plainfield has a variety of seasonal pottery that your family can paint, make memories and use to decorate your home.
  • McCloud Prairie Maze - If you haven't visited this unique fall maze yet at McCloud Nature Park in North Salem, you're running out of time. It's free, fun and different than traditional corn mazes.
  • Scarecrow Display - Another fun tradition that makes a trip to the Hendricks County Courthouse Square in Danville so much fun. While there grab a bite to eat or take in a movie at the historic Royal Theater.
  • Hotels With Indoor Pools - When the kids still have energy to burn, having an indoor pool at your hotel will give you the perfect opportunity to relax poolside watching them swim and play.

  • The Tie Dye Lab - One of our favorite and most unique DIY studios can be found in Avon where you can bring your family and tie dye just about anything.
  • Fall Foliage at McCloud Nature Park - This North Salem park provides arguably the best fall foliage in our county and this is the best weekend to see it.

Last Chance
  • McCloud Prairie Maze - It's the last weekend for McCloud Nature Park's most popular fall attraction.
  • Hogan Farms - This family-owned farm featuring hayrides, a pumpkin patch, petting zone and corn maze will close for the season after this weekend.
  • Scarecrow Display - This year's scarecrows will disappear from the square in Danville after this weekend. It's your last chance if you haven't seen them!
