It’s a community tradition. The Hendricks County 4-H Fair once again brings a variety of entertainment, livestock shows, carnival rides and unique events to one of the best fairgrounds you will find in Indiana on July 14-20, 2024.
Stop by any day of the week (or several days) and find something for everyone.

You may have heard, Hendricks County is celebrating their 200th birthday throughout 2024, and this year’s 4-H Fair will feature special Bicentennial events, including the Birthday Bash on opening day, July 14.
From special displays featuring the county’s history to birthday cake, be sure to join in on the fun.
It wouldn’t be the 4-H Fair without the main exhibit – the animals. Check out a variety of competitions featuring best in show, including dogs, goats, horses, llamas, swine, rabbits and poultry.
There will be baked fruit pie, watermelon and hot dog eating contests, talent shows and a kids pedal tractor pull throughout the week.
Don’t miss the Chopped Challenge, returning on opening day to support Family Promise of Hendricks County and our local food pantries.
Nearly every evening at the Fleece Performance Grandstands, visitors can attend action-packed events including the popular rodeo, demolition derby, motocross and other unique events for the entire family. Tickets to these additional shows are sold separately from fair admission.
Don’t forget to stop by the Expo Hall for special activities like a Little Critters Show, 4-H Robotics and a baby contest along with 45 booths featuring commercial vendors.
In addition, 4-H exhibits such as photography, sewing, baking and other projects will be on display.
Mention the fair and the mind typically goes to two things – food and rides. Don’t worry, there are plenty of food options, and the carnival offers rides for all ages.
The Midway Rides will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. July 15-20. Purchase tickets ahead of time and ride everything for one price.
