Earlier this month, the Visit Hendricks County family lost an important member of our group with the unexpected passing of Kendall Hendricks on Aug. 6, 2022.
Kendall joined the Tourism Commission and the HCCVB, Inc. Board of Directors in 2021 after his election to the Hendricks County Council. His innate knowledge of finances and public service was an immense benefit to our organization. His expertise, his dedication to service and of course his humor and sunny smile will be missed.
To honor Kendall, Visit Hendricks County will host a donation drive for The Community Blessing Boxes in Brownsburg during our Hendricks County CVB, Inc. Board Meeting in September. Beginning today, you can drop off non-perishable food items at the offices of Visit Hendricks County in Danville or bring them to the meeting at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8.
They are most in need of cereal and granola bars, macaroni and cheese, canned ravioli, pet treats and nut butters. Monetary donations are also accepted, and checks can be made out to Brownsburg Blessing Boxes.
If you can’t make it to Danville and have a donation, please e-mail Tracy Whetstone to plan for VHC staff to pick up and deliver your donation prior to Sept. 8.
