If you are looking for quality jewelry that won't break the bank, Going Golden in Brownsburg, Indiana, is the shop for you!

Offering a wide array of necklaces, bracelets, stackable rings, charms and so much more, Going Golden is unlike a typical, stuffy jewelry store. You won't find high-pressure salespeople, or high-end engagement or wedding jewelry at Going Golden. Nor will you find harsh lighting and cheap accessories that tarnish quickly or break easily.

What you will find at Going Golden is a beautifully decorated, family-owned boutique jewelry store that you will want to visit time and time again.

I love delicate jewelry that I feel comfortable wearing whether I'm running errands or for a night out on the town. With all the high-quality, reasonably priced options at Going Golden, I can picture myself returning often to add another classic piece of jewelry to my collection. Or picking up gifts for the other jewelry-loving ladies in my life!

So why do I think you will love Going Golden? Let me count the ways!

1. It's A Family Affair

Sisters Kelsey and Brodi, along with sister-in-law Brittni, were actually in the jewelry business long before opening their Brownsburg storefront. They began selling jewelry online through Etsy under the name Tag You're It Jewelry in 2009.

These doting moms had young children at that time and were having trouble finding personalized jewelry with their children's names. They decided to take matters into their own hands and create (and sell) the kind of hand-stamped jewelry they were looking for and suspected other ladies would be interested in as well.  And they were right!

Their Etsy store saw tremendous growth over the years, and as it evolved, they added engraved jewelry, rings and more. They rebranded in March 2023 to Going Golden and decided adding a Brownsburg storefront would allow them even more personal connections with their local, loyal customers.

Brodi and Kelsey are both long-time Brownsburg residents, and all three ladies love the small business community in Brownsburg as well as the support they have received throughout Hendricks County.

2. You Can Personalize Your Style

Necklace options at Going Golden

Going Golden sells traditional clasp necklaces in a variety of lengths and chain styles with plenty of personalized charms to create just the right statement. Initial charms are a popular seller and never go out of style!

The stackable rings are also especially popular and can be personalized with names, dates or other sentiments of your choosing. You will also find earrings, ornaments and more at Going Golden.

For personalized jewelry, the skillful staff hand stamps each letter into the metal with a small disc hammer for a handcrafted look. Machine engraving is also an option for those who want a deeper engraving with a very uniform look.

They specialize in 14-karat, gold-filled jewelry, so it is made to last without putting a huge dent in your bank account. Most rings range from $20-$40 and permanent jewelry (more on this side of their store in a second) can run in the $45-$65 range.

Going Golden is the perfect shop for everyday, personalized jewelry for gift-giving or as a treat for yourself. They run various sales and seasonal offerings, so jewelry lovers will want to pop in often to check out the latest inventory and deals.

3. Permanent Jewelry is All the Rage

Chain options at Going Golden in Brownsburg

With a pulse on the latest trends in jewelry, the owners added permanent jewelry to the mix in 2022. Just like it sounds, permanent jewelry is the kind of jewelry you wear long term, rather than taking it on and off each day.

At Going Golden, you can select the kind of chain you want and add charms, if you choose. For an extra personal touch, the styles of chains are all named after Indiana towns!

A skillful staff member custom fits the chain to your wrist, ankle or neck and then welds it together with a small jump ring. With permanent jewelry, there is no clasp, so you avoid the hassle of having to constantly adjust your necklace when the clasp falls to the front and can get a tighter fit with bracelets.

With so many chain and charm options at Going Golden, you are sure to find just the right piece of jewelry you will be proud to wear every day!

Permanent jewelry is safe to wear in the shower and pool, and customers receive instructions for cleaning their jewelry. If for some reason the jewelry does need to be removed, it can be clipped off, and you can come back to Going Golden to have it reattached for a $10 fee.

4. They Offer Several Shopping Options

Going Golden in Brownsburg

While online ordering remains an option, if you are in Hendricks County I highly recommend popping into the shop.

Their storefront is exquisite and tranquil and the selection is plentiful. Indecisive people (like me), beware! Once you step inside, I guarantee you will want to take your time browsing and trying on all the beautiful options.

The staff can assist with ring sizing, and you can pick up or have items shipped.

Appointments are not necessary. However, if you are in a hurry or coming in with a group for permanent jewelry (especially on the weekends), you are welcome to call and schedule an appointment.

Gift cards are also available. This is a great option to allow that special someone in your life to be able to select the jewelry that perfectly fits their unique style.

Whether you are in the market for a memorable gift or just want to treat yourself to some stylish new jewelry, I highly encourage you to check out Going Golden!
