The biggest weekend in racing begins right here in Hendricks County, Indiana, with the annual Carb Night Classic featuring the 72nd Anniversary Hoosier Hundred at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on Friday, May 23, 2025.
This high-powered evening of racing jumpstarts Memorial Day Weekend in Central Indiana and serves as a thrilling precursor to other major events like the Little 500 at Anderson Speedway and the iconic Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
If you are a race fan in town for the weekend, this is definitely a can't-miss event.
Hoosier Hundred
The legendary Hoosier Hundred returns to IRP for its 72nd anniversary, featuring a 100-lap USAC Silver Crown Series main event that kicks off at 7:15 p.m. with opening ceremonies.
There will be a practice session at 3:30 p.m. and qualifying sessions at 5:15 and 6:35 p.m. Some of the sport’s most iconic names have won this historic race, including A.J. Foyt, Mario Andretti, Al Unser Sr. and Kyle Larson.
USF2000 & Pro 2000 Championships
Following the Hoosier Hundred, the evening continues with high-speed action from the USF Pro 2000 and USF2000 Championships. These events bring together the rising stars of open-wheel racing for the Freedom 90 and Freedom 75, respectively.
Lineups for both events will have test sessions at 4:30 and 4:50 Friday afternoon, followed by a qualifying session of two laps per car. Many drivers who’ve competed in these series have gone on to race in INDYCAR, including Pato O’Ward, Conor Daly and Kyle Kirkwood.
Pavement Midget Championship
Capping off the evening will be the 30-lap National Pavement Midget Championship feature, drawing top midget racers from across the country. This competitive race offers a $5,000 winner’s purse, making it a standout event on the midget racing calendar.
In 2025, the event will also feature the inaugural All-Star Pavement Midgets series, further adding to the excitement.
Tickets, Parking & Camping
General admission tickets and pit passes to the Carb Night Classic and Hoosier Hundred are $27.50 and reserved seating tickets are $37.50. As with all events at IRP, children 12 and under receive free admission with a paid adult.
For free parking, fans will enter at the main gate on U.S. Highway 136/Crawfordsville Road. Preferred parking is available in Lot 2 for $10. Free primitive camping is available to all fans on the night of the event. Camping spots must be reserved and do not include admission to the races.
