Ultimate Callout Challenge (UCC), held annually at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, stands out as one the top diesel competitions in the nation.
From May 31 to June 2, 2024, this event will pit North America's elite competitors in a three-day showdown in drag racing, dyno tests, and sled pulling.
There will be more than 200 diesel racers on the property, but only 30 of the best will contend for the prestigious 2024 UCC title, with the champion determined by cumulative scores from the varied events. Here's a rundown of what you can expect from this popular event:
Day 1: Drag Racing & Burnouts
The competition revs up Friday, May 31, as competitors race head-to-head in a quarter-mile sprint from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., immediately after the gates open at 10. Meanwhile, fans can join the action by testing the power of their own vehicles on a dyno machine, available from 2 to 8 p.m.
Starting at 6 p.m., fans will see these big, mean diesel machines take on the new IRP burnout pit filling the stands with smoke well into the night.
Day 2: Dyno Competition, Eliminations & Car Show
On Saturday, June 1, the race to the UCC title heats up with the dyno competition, where competitors test their trucks' limits by measuring engine horsepower and torque on a dyno machine.
Alongside the dyno tests, the drag strip will be alive with ODSS qualifications and eliminations running throughout the afternoon and evening. Fans can also enjoy the Show & Shine car show, featuring more than 500 of the coolest trucks in the Midwest.
Day 3: Sled Pull & Awards Ceremony
The competition ends on Sunday, June 2, with the sled pull challenge, where competitors hook their trucks to a weighted sled and pull it as far as they can to demonstrate their horsepower and endurance. This intense display marks the final chance for contenders to rack up points toward the 2024 UCC title. A champion will be crowned immediately after the event.
