Indianapolis Events in 2025

If you’re visiting Hendricks County this year, or even if you’re a born-and-bred local, Indianapolis and its surroundings offer a wide array of events in 2025. From culture-defining motorsports to football games, and Pride celebrations, locals and visitors alike are spoiled for choice in Indianapolis this year!

Sporting Events

College sports fans will have plenty to cheer for this fall, starting with the Circle City Classic on September 26, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium. This year, the Classic celebrates the talent and legacies of historically Black colleges and universities with a game between the Miles College Golden Bears and the Morgan State University Bears, as well as several special events leading up to kickoff. 

Looking ahead, Indianapolis is also set to host the NCAA Men’s Final Four on April 4 and 6, 2026, at Lucas Oil Stadium in one of college basketball’s biggest weekends.

Culture and Community

Celebrate the 26th year of the Indiana Fishing Expo between January 31 and February 1, 2026 at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds. The event will feature expert seminars and more than 70 vendors offering a wide range of products, including fishing gear, bait, rods, boats, and more. It’s an excellent opportunity for anglers of all skills to meet up and swap fish stories. 

Anime Crossroads, held from February 20 to February 22, 2026, draws anime fans from across the Midwest to Indy’s largest anime convention. It’s a colorful, family-friendly event that celebrates anime and Japanese pop culture. Expect dance parties, cosplay contests, vendors, games, and appearances from celebrity guests, including voice actors, illustrators, and more!

Concerts & Big Shows in Indianapolis

Head to Arbuckle Acres Park in Brownsburg on September 6, 2025, for Blues in the 'Burg, a long-running, free outdoor music festival in Brownsburg. With two stages and five hours of live performances, fans of soul, rock, and jazz will have plenty to groove to.

For the young and the young at heart, don’t miss two blockbuster shows at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in downtown Indy. The Jonas Brothers bring their infectious pop hits on November 2, 2025, while Disney On Ice: Mickey’s Search Party is sure to dazzle from January 21 to 25, 2026, with acrobatics, skating, and all of your family’s beloved Disney characters.

Annual Celebrations

Dr. Who fans won’t want to miss Doctoberfest at WHO North America in Camby. This quirky fall festival, scheduled for September 27, 2025, centers on the Doctor Who fandom and is held at the only retail store (and museum) in North America dedicated to the cult-favorite British sci-fi series!

On October 18, 2025, celebrate global cultures at the Hendricks County International Festival. This free event highlights music, dance, art, and food from around the world, all under one roof.

Come wintertime, embrace the holiday season with Christmas at the Zoo from November 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026, at the Indianapolis Zoo. Stroll under sparkling lights, visit Santa’s magic cottage, stop for a cocktail at Tinsel Tavern in Santa’s Village, and enjoy seasonal treats all in the company of friends, family, and the zoo’s animal residents, of course!
