At African Plum Home & More, visitors will find a wide range of high-quality, unique furniture for indoor and outdoor use at their Plainfield location. Since 2018, owners, Hadj and Suzanne Diallo have used their expertise in antiques to find the perfect paring of color, style and practicality in their selections.
Just a few years ago, African Plum expanded to a larger space around the corner from their spot on Main Street at what they call the warehouse. They’ve also recently expanded their business hours and offer customers zero percent financing, making those more expensive furniture purchases possible.
The warehouse allows African Plum to offer more than couches and kitchen tables, and they’re constantly receiving new items to display. They have a little bit of everything at the second location, including bathroom fixtures, home décor and outdoor options.
Though the furniture is the first thing to catch a customer’s eye, the black-owned business is growing with new products. They are launching a new line of natural, homemade goat milk soaps, bath salts, body butter, bath bombs and candles.
