Taqueria
Taquerias are known for being casual eateries specializing in authentic street-style foods. The Avon Mexican Market Taqueria offers a simple menu of tacos, quesadillas, burritos, agua frescas, and other specialty items, all focused on showcasing authentic, flavorful Mexican cuisine.
Orders can be made at the register, over the phone, or on DoorDash, and can be picked up at the back counter. There is a small bar-height counter for a casual, quick-dining option, and make sure to grab a fresh aqua fresca, made daily using fresh fruits and other ingredients.
Homemade Foods
In the refrigerated cooler toward the back of the store, you can find refrigerated cheeses and tortillas, crema sauces, chorizo and prepared in-house tamales, salsa and pico de gallo. There is also an additional cooler that stores cold beverages, including Mexico-imported Coke and Fanta and Jarritos-branded sodas from Mexico.
When the Avon Mexican Market has their tamales in stock, it's like finding gold! There is nothing better than homemade tamales, and when they are available, don't miss the opportunity. The tamales come in pork and chicken with red and green sauce options.
Fresh Meats & Produce
Want to prepare your own Mexican-inspired flavored meats? The Avon Mexican Market boasts a wide variety of fresh, seasoned meats sold by the pound, including their chicken fajita meat mix and shrimp cocktail.
Also, make sure to check out their fresh produce that includes chilis, onions and garlic and their variety of Mexican spices, the perfect complement to their fresh meats.
Snacks
International snacks are so popular right now, and the Avon Mexican Market is a foodie dream with their wide assortment of snack foods. They have a wide variety of packaged snacks, including cookies, crackers and biscuits, strawberry wafers, margarita sweet bread, Takis, Ranchitas tortilla chips (Mexican version of Doritos) and so much more.

Candy
Avon Mexican Market has a fun assortment of Mexican candies, including suckers, a milk candy wafer, peanut caramels, chocolates, coconut-flavored candy, gummies and Chamoy- and Tamarind-flavored candies.
My personal favorite is the big bag of Bon Bon Bum lollipops, which are similar to Blow Pops. Their tangy fruit flavor reminded me of a sour apple flavor, and my daughter also enjoyed the four-pack of gum by the register.
Specials
Avon Mexican Market has the best specials, including my personal favorite and perhaps best taco deal in our county: Taco Tuesday, $1.50 street-style mini tacos with options of steak, chorizo or chicken. The tacos are served like traditional street tacos with double corn tortillas, cilantro, onion and a lime wedge.
Other specials include Wednesday's $7.99 chicken fajitas served with Mexican rice and beans, and Thursday's $5.99 mini burritos made with either chicken, steak or chorizo.
