Sensory Friendly Attractions
Murphy Aquatic Park
Murphy Aquatic Park hosts a sensory swim every Tuesday from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. during the months of May through August. The pool is at 50% capacity and the wave pool is turned off for a quieter environment and calmer activities.
Plainfield Public Library
Visitors to the Plainfield Public Library can enjoy sensory-seeking activities designed especially for children who benefit from movement, tactile play, and interactive experiences. During these events, kids can explore a variety of engaging stations that may include hands-on sensory bins, movement-based play, fidget tools, and calming activities that encourage exploration in a welcoming environment.
Slick City
Slick City in Brownsburg offers special Sensory-Friendly Hours designed for guests who prefer a calmer play environment. During these dedicated times, music is lowered, crowds are smaller, and the atmosphere is more relaxed to create a comfortable experience for those with sensory sensitivities. Urban Air Adventure Park in Plainfield offers Sensory-Friendly play on the first Sunday of each month 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. During these special hours, the park creates a calmer environment for children with autism and sensory sensitivities by reducing loud music and flashing lights while allowing families to enjoy many of the attractions in a quieter, more comfortable setting.
