The Festival of the Arts in Brownsburg, Indiana, had become a highly anticipated weekend of live performances, art exhibits, artisan vendors and more for more than 40 years until the pandemic hit.

The event was postponed in 2020, and hadn't returned until now. After a five-year hiatus, the Greater Brownsburg Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Town of Brownsburg to bring the family-friendly event back.

Anthony Moulder, co-chair for the planning committee, said they knew when they brought back the popular event, they wanted to lean more toward fine arts versus crafts.

So, visitors to Arbuckle Acres Park on Sept. 20-21 can expect high-end art exhibits from emerging and established artists from across the country. They can purchase the art and support local businesses during this two-day event.

More than 30 artisan vendors will be available, offering handmade goods, ranging from woodwork to jewelry. They, too, have been carefully selected to display handmade, high-quality products.

Shop for unique holiday gifts and home decor or discover something new in this creative arts space.

You can find activities for the entire family all weekend long. On Sunday, a kids’ zone area will feature creative crafts and activities from a local art studio in Brownsburg.

While adults shop and enjoy the live music, children can participate in fun, interactive activities. They may even create something to bring home to remember this special event.
