Whether you're a seasoned player or just picking up a paddle for the first time, finding a place to play pickleball in Hendricks County, Indiana is easier than ever, as options have expanded heavily over the past couple of years.

From local parks and recreation centers to dedicated pickleball clubs and indoor courts, discover some of the best places to play.

Avon

The Picklr

Avon just landed a huge pickleball-dedicated indoor facility in addition to some outdoor courts and another venue coming soon.

  • The Picklr features 12 indoor courts, hosts organized leagues, tournaments, lessons and open play for players of all skill levels, including youth programming. Memberships are available to play. Non-members are welcome to play by paying non-member fees or by opting into a 15-day trial for $30. The facility has restrooms, water, food, locker rooms, an equipment store and wheelchair accessibility.
  • Washington Township Park features four outdoor courts, availability to make reservations, nearby restrooms, water and wheelchair accessibility.
  • The Pickle Patch is scheduled to open this fall on Avon Avenue, south of U.S. 36 near Evergreen Elementary. Once completed, this future pickleball park owned by the town will include eight outdoor courts with restroom facilities. 

Brownsburg

Danville

Ellis Park, Danville

Danville boasts both indoor and outdoor courts at two locations, including:

  • Danville Athletic Club, which features two indoor wood courts, with availability to make reservations. The facility includes restrooms and water, and a one-time fee is required to play.
  • Ellis Park, which features six outdoor courts, with availability to make reservations. Players have access to restrooms, water and lights. 

Plainfield

Franklin Park, Plainfield

Plainfield has a mix of outdoor and indoor options, including:

West Hendricks

Scamahorn Park, Pittsboro

Only one of our smaller western communities has developed dedicated pickleball courts so far.

Scamahorn Park in Pittsboro features three outdoor courts with wheelchair accessibility, a nearby shelter house, water and restrooms.
